Unabomber: How Ted Kaczynski Got His Name

From 1978 to 1995 Ted Kaczynski, aka the “Unabomber”, sent 16 mail bombs to universities and airlines, killing three people and injuring 23. UNABOM (UNiversity and Airline BOMber) was the code name given to his case by the FBI which resulted in the media calling him the Unabomber.  U.S. Postal Inspectors, who initially investigated the case, called him the “Junkyard Bomber” because of the materials Kaczynski used to make the mail bombs.
